Dancing With Patricia (DWP) offers West Coast Swing classes in a leveled format, encouraging dancers to progress through the curriculum at your own pace to create a strong foundation and laddered learning as you progress in your dance.

Level 2: Next Level WCS

This level is broken down into four sub-levels (2.0; 2.1; 2.2; 2.3) each with a 12-module series associated with them. For ease of access, these 12-module series are also broken down into three 4-module sections according to related content.

Next Level 2.0 is the first in the Level 2 series. In this 12 module series (12 weeks) we cover concepts of connection, footwork, and whips, timing, and rhythms, all while solidifying the integrity of your basic patterns and fundamental techniques.

By enrolling in the full 12-module LEVEL 2.0 COURSE, you gain lifetime access to all 12 modules, including new videos and bonus content as they are added, access to a private facebook group of fellow dancers who have also committed to the full course, and lifetime access to all live zoom rounds of the course, so that you can receive feedback and refresh the content every time that it is taught.

The 12-module course is broken down further into three 4-module segments if you choose to take the course one piece at a time:

Next Level 2.1 is the second in the Level 2 series. In this 12 module series (12 weeks) we cover concepts of connection, partner communication, footwork, variations, styling, and we begin our foray into the world of musicality... all while solidifying the integrity of your basic patterns and fundamental techniques and building on the concepts that we covered in Level 2.0.

By enrolling in the full 12-module LEVEL 2.1 COURSE, you gain lifetime access to all 12 modules, including new videos and bonus content as they are added, access to a private Facebook group of fellow dancers who have also committed to the full course, and lifetime access to all live zoom rounds of the course, so that you can receive feedback and refresh the content every time that it is taught.

Meet Your Instructor

I began dancing west coast swing in 2012, as I was in the early years of running dance functions in other styles and assisting in teaching my first group classes. In 2014, I fully committed to west coast swing as my style of dance, and began traveling to numerous national events to train in teaching, dancing, training in, and performing west coast swing. My students have performed well in juniors, newcomer and novice competitions, have performed across the country, and one dance couple went on to compete in the rising Star division at a national convention. When COVID shutdowns hit, I took on the challenge of turning my in-person dance series into a fully accessible online course.
